Petition Action

Request a referendum on the £3.9bn refurbishment of the Palace of Westminster

Petition Details

We, the undersigned, request that the UK Government hold a legally binding referendum as to whether the proposed refurbishment of the Palace of Westminster should take place, or whether instead, a new Parliamentary campus be established, allowing for disposal of the old site.

Additional Information

Give the people of the UK a say over where its parliament sits.

The Palace of Westminster may occupy a historic site, but it is no longer fit for purpose.

Build a modern, safe, secure, functional parliamentary campus with chambers, offices and accommodation on site.

Turn the genuinely historic parts into a museum and sell off the rest of Westminster.
