Give UK citizens option to keep EU rights and retain relationship with Europe.
People who voted to remain in Europe include people like me who value freedom of movement and the option to live and work in other parts of the European Union. People who voted to leave Europe would not be affected as they would have to opt in. Giving people a choice is both fair and democratic.
Chief Brexit negotiator at the European Parliament Guy Verhofstadt has received more than a 1000 letters from UK citizens who do not want to lose their European identity, saying that allowing individuals to keep rights, such as freedom to travel and vote in European elections should be a priority.
As someone who wishes to retire to France to join friends and family there, my future would be directly affected by restriction of movement caused by a hard Brexit.
