British citizens be entitled personally to retain the benefits of EU membership.
On BBC Radio 4's Today programme (10 March 2017) Guy Verhofstadt, the chief Brexit negotiator at the European Parliament, said that allowing British citizens a right to retain personally the benefits of EU membership should be a priority in Brexit negotiations.
