Make the late Baroness Thatcher the face of one of our new currency notes.
Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher defied all odds as an ordinary green grocers daughter working her way up as the first female UK leader. Repairing our failed economy destroyed by her predecessing Labour government, held our ground in the Falklands, and stood alongside Reagan against the Communists.
She lived through her tenure as Prime Minister and subsequently the rest of her life at high risk from more attacks by the Irish Republican Army terror group but stood strong anyway, such as when she continued her party conference speech in 1984 despite surviving a hotel bomb explosion intended to kill her only hours beforehand. If this doesn't make her the "Iron Lady" nothing does, and for this she deserves some recognition.
