Petition Action

Withhold permission for Scotland to hold a second independence referendum

Petition Details

Consent for any repeat referendum must be given by the UK parliament and this should be denied empathically.

Additional Information

All economic data points to the failure of a Scottish state and the Scottish National Party has a one focus agenda which diminishes the contributions the Scottish people have made to the success of the Union for the last 400 + years.
The UK has enough to achieve in managing Brexit and is a negotiation for the whole of the UK. However, were another referendum be approved for Scottish independence, the possibility of breaking-up the UK Union should be put to all the people of Great Britain, not just the Scots, for the result affects all of us and not just them.
