Permit the Independence Referendum at a time chosen by the Scottish Parliament.
The U.K. Government and Parliament should respect the democratic will of the Scottish Parliament and permit the Scottish independence referendum to take place at a time agreed by the Scottish Parliament and carried out in a manner agreed by the Scottish Parliament.
The SNP formed the current Scottish Government with the largest share of the popular vote and as the largest party. The SNP's written manifesto clearly set out the intent to hold a second independence referendum if there was significant and material change to the circumstances of the U.K., including, for example, Scotland being removed from the EU against the will of the people of Scotland. The Scottish Government tried to reach a compromise over Brexit with the U.K. Government to no avail.
