Abandon pointless hurdles in citizenship tests
The current citizenship tests appear to include questions based around civil servants' or ministers' "favourite facts" without rhyme or reason.
The test should not be an excuse for people in government to write about their favourite bits of history, and then ask awkward pedantic questions.
If the test is to encourage people to learn, those building it should take advice from teachers about what kinds of questions encourage investigation, and which ones encourage rote memorisation without understanding.
