Stop the Congo Child Miners Crisis - Help find viable solution to this problem

Petition Details

After watching Russell Brand's YouTube series 'Trew News', I was made aware of the Child Mining Crisis that is occurring in Congo, Africa. Children are being forced to mine cobalt - a rare resource that powers the lithium ion batteries in our smartphones. This is a despicable practice that must end.

This is an article by The Guardian newspaper that depicts the inhumane suffering of these poor children.

Through this petition I urge the government to think about how we can end this sickening practice or find a viable solution.
