Reduce NI Contributions for those on PAYE to the level of the self employed
If the self employed are entitled to the same benefits as those paying NI through PAYE the rates should have parity. Government cannot raise NI for the self employed, lowering the rate for those who pay via PAYE is an option.
The chancellor has been forced to drop an increase in NI contributions for the self employed due to manifesto pledges. The manifesto did not preclude lowering the rate for others.
