Protect the right to Freedom of Movement for British migrants
There are approximately 1.2 million British-born migrants living in other EU countries who are now facing uncertainty about their future after Brexit, as well as those who have repatriated to Britain but wish to maintain their right to relocate within the European community.
The UK government must ensure that all citizens of the United Kingdom who have previously exercised or are currently exercising their right, according to Article 45 of the TFEU, to freedom of movement and residence within the European Union, in order to freely seek employment and/or residence within another EU member state, will retain this right after Britain has left the European Union.
