Make it law for all overtime worked to be remunerated to employees.
Many employers force there employees to work extra hours out of contract with no return, benefits or remuneration. Employees in many sectors work multiple hours overtime a week for free, losing personal time and gaining nothing in return.
I find it difficult to explain my frustration as I go through day to day life working for employers who seem to have a complete disrespect for employees personal time, expecting overtime to be worked with no remuneration. It is difficult for us employees to refuse as we often feel scared that we may lose our jobs or work life will be made difficult. I ask the government to ensure all employers are lawfully obliged to pay for the time employees give to the companies they work for.
