Petition Action

Famine ridden South Sudan charging aid workers for entry. UK gov must intervene.

Petition Details

In the face of the biggest famine in 6 years, the South Sudanese government has imposed a $10,000 entrance fee on aid workers entering the country. They are trying to profit from the helplessness of the 7.5 million in need of food. We have a moral obligation to call our government to action.

Additional Information

The international community, which the UK is a part of, needs to put pressure on South Sudan to allow the completely unrestricted flow of aid to those that need it. Indeed, the UK government needs to formally condemn the immoral and corrupt actions of South Sudanese government, which are nothing short of repulsive.
