Petition Details

All immigrants who commit a crime should not be given bail remanded in custody and deported. Why should the British people have to put up with Eu criminals when we have enough problems with our own. It's time our government looked after the British people first

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

The UK's system of justice is innocent until proven guilty. It is unclear whether you are asking for immigrants charged with a crime to be deported before their trial or after they have been found guilty.

The Government already has the power to deport people when the Home Secretary has decided that their removal from the country is 'conducive to the public good'.

A court can also recommend deportation if someone is convicted of a criminal offence with a prison term.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
