Members of Parliament must not have any income apart from their MPs salary
Being a Member of Parliament is a full time job and this should be their only paid employment.
MPs must make sure that they are fully impartial and having a second income from any source may mean they are prejudiced in their decisions. Income means being paid a wage, expenses, shares, receiving gifts or having money in trust funds.
An MP must also not do any unpaid work that may be classed as nepotism.
