Do not allow MPs to have second jobs (Conflict of interest).
A large number of MPs have other jobs. Some of these jobs pay more than the salary they are earning as an MP.
Surely as a member of parliament, which carries great responsibility an MP should not have another job which could be a conflict of interest.
I propose this is changed.
If the British public elect someone to represent them in parliament then this is surely under the basis that they will represent constituents on a full time basis.
If you look at recent history which includes George Osborne & Micheal Gove these elected representatives are being paid large amounts of money to do other jobs. Surely this is a conflict of interest.
Many other public service employees can not take other jobs (Police Officers etc) why are MPs different to this?
