Stop weighing young children at school and labelling them in weight catergories
Children as young as 4 are being weighed at school and parents told their child is underweight, healthy, overweight and even very overweight!!
What kind of damage is this doing!
Stop putting so much pressure on children to fit into a category that isn't even realistic.
My son was recently regarded as overweight when his friend is acceptable. My son is 6 cm taller and only 7lb heavier! My friend worries her child is underweight but is deemed acceptable. Skin and bones is not a healthy target!
I've personally suffered from an eating disorder and being told my child is overweight at 5 upset me. He's 114.6 cm and 23 kg!!
It's ridiculous and needs to be stopped!
