Tell Parliament the real Brexit cost
We call on David Davis, the Brexit Secretary, to provide monthly reports to parliament on the real cost of Brexit with effect from April 2017.
This should at least include:
- actual direct costs (bills incurred by Government),
- actual indirect costs (the cost of re-allocating Government resources),
- estimated businesses' costs (cost of new red tape, tariffs, hiring costs) and
- estimated individuals' costs (higher inflation, higher taxes or reduced public services to pay for Brexit)
- any other direct or indirect cost that Parliament believes is relevant
Both direct and estimated costs should be independently audited.
