Investigate if OFCOM is value for money and how much more will cost to police the press if OFCOM does it rather than the Press Complaints Commission
With the widening powers that OFCOM could well have it may well take over the press complaints commission which at the moment costs 2million a year to run. Whereas OFCOM costs 115million a year to run. First is OFCOM value for money and secondly how much more will it cost the taxpayer to police the press if OFCOM does it. If it costs 50 million more, it is not worth it.
