Petition Action

In light of the attack on London, stop naming those who carry out terrorism.

Petition Details

We the undersigned wish for any released details relating to future terrorist incidents to be bereft of the individual terrorists claim to any religion. The individual has decided to commit an atrocity and should be known to the public as a terrorist only.

Additional Information

The majority of religions in the world encourage peace and goodwill to all unless perverted to serve a group's special interests.
One of the main purposes of terrorism is to inspire fear and sow division amongst the wider community.
By preventing the mention of an attackers claim to religion, we can at least reduce the effect, and at best prevent terrorists from dividing society against itself.
As the saying goes, "United we stand. Divided we fall."
