Routinely arm all British police officers to respond to todays world
Police in mainland UK are not routinely armed. In the past, this was a proud element of UK policing.
Since then, terrorism and violent crime continues to shock and cause mass casualties including the most recent London attack, injuring and killing many including police officers.
