Improve the human rights and quality of life for Dalits.
Dalits face a horrible day to day life including the consequences of being murdered or raped. Their jobs include manual scavenging with their bare hands resulting in such low wages that they can barely afford basic human needs, branded as untouchables due to the class system in India.
This can't be allowed and as a democratic society we need to end this drastic way of life Dalits have lived for centuries.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take a specific action. You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, you could start a new petition asking the UK Government to raise this issue with the government of India.
