Urge Brazil not to hand the Amazon over to mining companies
Brazilian President Michel Temer is approving several new infrastructure projects including dams, man-made waterways and mines which will exacerbate the deforestation of the Amazon rainforest. More than 40 hydroelectric dams will be built by 2020, which will endanger about one-fifth of the Amazon.

The UK Government should work with other countries to put pressure on Brazil to stop this.
