Stop rural primary school closures in Mid-Wales
In recent years, there have been many primary school closures in Mid-Wales. Following a research project, it was found this was having negative consequences on the students and communities.
For example, the sense of belonging is lost, there is a loss of identity - in particular amongst students, and it is making it difficult for families to take their children to school. This is putting greater pressure on other primary schools and the education of the children is deteriorating as class size is increasing. This is why we need to prevent rural primary school closures in Mid-Wales.
