Petition for Meaningful Petitions

Additional Information

We the undersigned demand of the government a meaningful e-petitions system. Specifically we demand the following changes to the current system.

- The strengthening of the 100,000 rule. Specifically we demand a hard *guarantee* that the issue will be given debate time in parliament with an MP volunteering or selected to argue both for/against the precise proposal encapsulated by the petition.

- A removal of the rejection of petitions for the reason of not relating to an area of government responsibility.

The UK parliament has reach over all areas of activity in the UK with primary leglislation can influence all areas of public and private life.
