Make Sensory Processing Disorder a recognisable disorder by the NHS.
Our son has severe Sensory Processing difficulties identified by a private Occupational Therapist. These needs have a huge impact on his ability to function, learn and socialise in a mainstream school environment.
It has cost our family £1000 to identify these needs and we have had to fund therapy ourselves. Please debate this in parliament as most families cannot fund this to identify their child's sensory needs and receive support with therapies for their child's wellbeing, development and inclusion in school.
