Petition Action

Confirm public commitment to Article 50 by holding a verifying referendum.

Petition Details

For some, the facts pertaining to what "leaving the EU" meant only became clear after the referendum and particularly during the preparation of Article 50 - e.g. what degree of separation were we voting on, what would the cost be. Now the facts are clearer public support should be confirmed.

Additional Information

The Prime Minister has confirmed in recent days that Scotland should not hold an independence referendum as the facts are not yet clear. The facts could not have been less clear during the original EU referendum. Now the public have a greater appreciation of the facts surrounding leaving the EU they should be consulted to ensure that they are still committed.
