The United Kingdom to apply for European Union membership during the year 2020.
Why?
1. Stop the break-up of the UK. 2. Free movement, human rights, worker protections and democracy for UK citizens. 3. Reduce the chances of another European war. 4. Access to the European single market. 5. Huge opportunities for science, culture, and education. 6. Build, not burn, bridges.
During her statement on 29th March, the Prime Minister said “We all want to see a Britain that is stronger than it is today. We all want a country that is fairer so that everyone has the chance to succeed. We all want a nation that is safe and secure for our children and grandchildren. We all want to live in a truly global Britain that gets out and builds relationships with old friends and new allies around the world." Since we agree, we think that the UK should apply for EU membership in 2020.
