Ban the Bank of England from using palm oil in new £20 notes.
On Thursday 30th March 2017, the Bank of England announced they are considering using palm oil in the making and production of new £20 notes.
The palm oil industry is linked to major issues such as deforestation, climate change and animal cruelty.
The use of palm oil is meant to replace tallow - animal fat - after Vegans, Hindus and Sikhs objected to its use in the new £5 notes.
The WWF states: "Large areas of tropical forests and other ecosystems with high conservation values have been cleared to make room for vast monoculture oil palm plantations – destroying critical habitat for many endangered species, including rhinos, elephants and tigers."
