HMG has significant forces in FRG. Gov. to debate redeploying BFG to Gibraltar.

HM Government at some considerable cost to the British taxpayer maintains a significant military presence in Germany in the form of British Forces Germany (BFG). Germany is the richest EU country and not being directly threatened or indeed sited adjacent any potential hostile nation.

Additional Information

In light of the EU's response to our PM's Article 50 notification, and in view of Germany not being directly threatened or indeed sited adjacent any potential hostile nation, Parliament should debate the redeployment of significant elements of BFG from Germany to potential conflict zones where British interests at likely to be directly threatened e.g. Gibraltar. The German Government freed from the comforting cloak of foreign protective power might then be stimulated to pay for its own defence.
