Stop funding the anti-abortion charity Life using the tampon tax
£250,000 raised from the tampon tax is being given to the anti-abortion charity Life, when countless women and girls are being prevented from living their lives normally, and even from attending school or work, as a result of not having the money to purchase sanitary protection.
The government promised that money raised from the tampon tax would be used to support disadvantaged women and girls. The government agreed to this as the tampon tax is seen as a tax on women’s biology. Consequently, giving a large sum of money to an organisation that does not believe that women have a right over their bodies the moment they become pregnant is inappropriate.
