Invest the £500m it's going to cost to change the passport into education!
It's going to cost the taxpayer £500m to change the colour of the British Passport from red to blue. It's a ridiculous amount of money for a ridiculous idea.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The UK passport is routinely redesigned every five years to guard against counterfeiting. The Government is launching the procurement process now to ensure there is sufficient time to produce and design UK passports from 2019 when the current contract ends. The contract covers design, print, assembly and personalisation of passports.
We're not sure whether you would like the UK passport not to be redesigned at all, including to protect against counterfeiting. You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
