Petition Action

Keep the Bereavement benefit as it is, ie until dependent children reach 18.

Petition Details

Theresa May would like to reduce Bereavement Benefit to familes, already suffering trauma and loss, to 18 months. As it currently stands, families receive help until all dependent children reach 18.

Additional Information

The bereavement benefit represents monies ALREADY PAID in National Insurance contributions by the deceased spouse. The Government are essentially stealing that money from bereaved families. Please help to stop this.
