DON'T HOG THE MIDDLE LANE.
When driving on the motorway I find cars cruising at a low speed in the second / third lane when the first lane is empty. This is extremely annoying and drivers that do this should be fined to prevent this happening.

Additional Information

On the motorway we have multiple lanes, when the road ahead is clear drive MUST keep left, if overtaking slower vehicles you must return to the left lane once you have safely past.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Since 2013 the police have had the power to issue on the spot fines for motorists hogging the middle lane. Three points can also be added to the offender's licence. It is therefore unclear what action you would like the Government to take. You could submit a petition asking for an increase in the level of fines for hogging the middle lane, or you may with to sign an existing petition related to this issue:
