review the data protection act
why do we have to answer 50 questions to a stranger on the phone to be put through to the right person, who does not know us but is then privy to all our personal information, claiming it is for data protection. when the company has already given us a personal account number?.
i called EON about a meter change only to be asked a barrage of questions when i queried why i was told "the data protection act". this person did not know me i did not know her, when i refused to answer any more was told she could not proceed with the conversation. this is not restricted to EON but all major businesses, surely your personal and individual account number is enough, the more information they have the more they stand to lose or be sold to hackers by their own staff.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
