Stop profiteering of travel operators during state - enforced peak times
Following the finding effectively allowing Wards of the State - headteachers - to prohibit parents from taking their children on experience - building holidays, the State should act to allow all families to holiday affordably during term breaks
Lady Hale has determined that a parent cannot override a school's determination of appropriateness of leave except in cases of illness or bereavement.
While it is not within the scope of this petition to argue points of law, it is our contention that holidays are an integral part of the childhood experience and, as the State has limited the time in which holidays can be taken, it must act to limit market forces and allow all families to access the time they can use for holidays affordably.
