For domestic users electricity & gas should NOT be sold at a discounted rate for higher usage.

The government should pass an act that enforces this pricing structure for domestic gas and electricity.

Currently there are a couple of high units (effectively the standing charge) then units are the standard price. Then if you use enough energy the unit price goes down! This is what should be disallowed. The price not go down, it should go up (or stay the same).

This is likely to reduce people’s use of power to have a fairer charge for people who live modestly. This would be in line with thinking green.
