Petition Action

Parents of children bullying others should be prosecuted

Petition Details

Parents are held accountable if their children truant or they take them out of school out of school during term time to go on holiday.
We have children committing suicide because of this or 6 year olds in hospital with blood clots after being hit on the head.

Additional Information

Some schools are fantastic at tackling bullying but others are not so good, by making it a criminal offence this would take the primary responbility away from schools.

If we take unauthorised absence as seriously as we do, we shouldn't think twice about the safety of our children at school.
