Make it an offence for people in public office to lie to the public

People who choose to be in public office should be held to an exceptionally high standard. People in public office that lie to the public should be prosecuted and face the possibility of prison time.
The people of the UK are tired of dishonest politicians. We want to be represented by people we can trust, and we want those that let us down to know that there are real consequence's.
