Publicly Condemn the Treatment of LGBT Individuals in Chechnya
This week, Pink News broke the story that the ill-treatment of LGBT and suspected LGBT individuals in the Russian state of Chechnya now includes interment in concentration camps - where torture, punishment and possibly death await those who enter. Our government must speak out against this injustice
So far, only Baroness Anelay has publicly called out Chechnya's actions. If we wish to keep our place on the international stage as a force to be reckoned with post-Brexit, the UK must stand up for blatant soiling of human rights such as these.
