Give priority to Christian refugees
Christianity is in danger of being exterminated in its original heartland, the middle East. Christian families are being displaced and their churches systematically destroyed. As a Christian nation we owe it to them to welcome them to our country.
The Minister of State for Immigration should alter the immigration rules so that Christian families who are refugees from the appalling persecution they are suffering in many countries are given priority. This can be done by exempting families of Christian refugees from the the current guideline which says 'Entry Clearance Officers and all staff of the Home Office will carry out their duties without regard to the race, colour or religion of persons seeking to enter or remain in the United Kingdom".

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
In accordance with international obligations under the 1951 Refugee Convention and the European Convention on Human Rights, a well-founded fear of persecution on account of religion is already one of the grounds on which asylum can be granted.
