Allow people without degrees to be able to become teachers in schools
The government are crying out for teachers and even with bursaries for post-graduates, they are not singing up. Why can't people teach in state schools without a degree just like in FE (colleges). Teachers only teach up to level 2 so why do they need a level 6 qualification.
To teach or 'lecture' in a FE college you only need a level 3 qualification. and most FE teachers teach up to HND level now.
see https://www.ucas.com/ucas/after-gcses/find-career-ideas/explore-jobs/job-profile/further-education-lecturer for details on FE Lecturing
