A legislation to prevent all retailers in UK selling clothes made in sweatshops

Petition Details

Sweatshops are work enviroments like a factory/shop where employees work long hours, low wages, unhealthy working conditions. This is why we want a calling for legislation to prevent all retailers in the uk from selling products(e.g.clothing)which have been made in sweatshops.

Additional Information

It is a big issue in today's society, which needs to be resolved immediately. Many are forced to work 14-16 hours a day, seven days a week.On top of this workers face unsafe, cramped and hazardous conditions which often lead to work injuries and factory fires. In all the countries that have sweatshops an estimate of 250 million kids inbetween the ages of 5-14 do hard labour.
Many people work in sweatshops because they need to provide for their family and many of them have no idea they are being exploited. So help and support us in this to create a change in the world we live in.
