Allow all officers that wish, regardless of rank/service to be given taser.
Too many officers are being assaulted/injured on duty! If an officer wishes, they should be given taser regardless of rank/service.
Although not a fact, it MAY have helped with PC Palmer, although is NOT an alternative to armed policing!
Let's protect ALL our officers with taser.
Collage of Policing states no officer in probation or any Special Constable are allowed taser. Short of making it standard issue, which some officers will reject, officers that wish to have it, should be allowed it.
All the officers that ARE eligible, there isn't the training or number of tasers available for them to deployed with taser. More funding is needed and more training is needed.
Frontline officers do the job, and are at risk of some awful dangers and should be better protected.
