Lower the voting age to 16 for the June 8th vote
Scottish youth have been given the vote why should we not on key issues?
16 year olds can legally smoke, have sex, get married or have a civil partnership etc.
Why not vote?
This will make the youth of our generation feel devalued at a national scale and will make them disenchanted with the political system and this may and is likely to effect political participation even more in an ever decreasing electorate. Brexit and the deal with the EU that follow will effect young generations and their livelihoods for a lifetime, therefore it is crucial, and it is right that 16/17 year olds have their say regarding who is at the helm for the forthcoming
