Make the Prime Minister take part in televised debates before a general election
Theresa May is calling for a snap general election on the 8th of June but has already stated that she will not appear in any televised debates. The British people should be entitled to see the Prime Minister and opposition leaders scrutinised through these debates before electing a new PM.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
This would be a decision for Theresa May to make as leader of the Conservative party, not as the Prime Minister. We can only accept petitions about the Prime Minister’s actions as part of the Government, not as the leader of a political party.
