TV debate between political parties for the upcoming general election June 8th.
It is rightly the fundamental basics of democracy to have politicians debate and create and atmosphere of choice amongst British voters in the upcoming election.
Theresa May has refused to partake in a TV debate for the upcoming snap General election she called. This is a short period of time that a voter can make a decision, thus it is the duty of the government to make sure engagement through different networks is performed fairly.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
This would be a decision for Theresa May to make as leader of the Conservative party, not as the Prime Minister. We can only accept petitions about the Prime Minister’s actions as part of the Government, not as the leader of a political party.
