Theresa May must face Jeremy Corbyn in a TV debate before the general election
A Number 10 source said Theresa May will not face Jeremy Corbyn and other party leaders in televised debates before the June 8th general election.
It is in the public's interest for this debate to happen so ideas and policies can be scrutinised and votes are cast with more information.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
This would be a decision for Theresa May to make as leader of the Conservative party, not as the Prime Minister. We can only accept petitions about the Prime Minister’s actions as part of the Government, not as the leader of a political party.
