Make live televised debates compulsary, prior to a general election.
To make it compulsory for the Prime Minister, Leader of the Opposition and all major party leaders in Parliament. To take part in three live televised debates in the immediate three weeks, prior to a general election.
The deal struck between Westminster and Brussels will have profound implications for UK citizens. Therefore it should be expected that the leaders of the major parties will take part in live televised debates prior to the 2017 general election.
This is not only to allow the citizens to make an unbias judgement of charictar and ideology for each potential Pime Minister. It would also provide clear structure for future election campaigns, whilst ensuring the process accessable to the public.
