Government buying from organisations that contribute to tax revenue
Given The Government’s stated intention to reduce the structural deficit as the top priority because of the inherent danger it poses to the UK economy and the fact this needs to be achieved by raising sufficient funds to meet that necessary social expenditure (primarily National Insurance, costs of which are likely to increase substantially) it is proposed that:
1. That all government procurement, on a fully competitive basis, is then further assessed and procurement is from organisations that have show a higher level of current payment of tax (as a percentage of their turnover), especially the National Insurance component, than their competitors. The tax figures taken into account must be actual current payments to HMRC.
2. That for all organizations/ persons that receive financial assistance from public funds (taxpayer derived) the priority in the giving of public finance assistance should also be on the basis outlined in point 1.
