"The Floral Dance" to become the new U.K National Anthem

We, the undersigned, hereby petition the Government of the United Kingdom to dispense with our outdated and uninspiring National Anthem, "God Save the Queen" in favour of the upbeat but traditional "Floral Dance", immortalised by Terry Wogan and the Brighouse and Rastrick Brass Band. The Lyrics are to be rewritten through a competion open only to young persons and judged by a panel of contemporary British role models drawn from the worlds of Entertainment, Education and the Military.
